Dropping the Atomic Bomb
Factors:
-Even though America was pushing back the Japanies, our losses were still huge.
-Were were excpected to lose 22000 more men on the mainland.
-Should were warn the Japan people about us using the atomic bomb.
2. Do you think he made the right decision? Give your reasons.
I believe his intentions were good, as in he wanted less casuties for this war, and end this war quicker. But i dont think he should have used it. He could have done thousands of bombing raids and still not have killed as many people. THe civilian casulties were just to high, and he kneew they would be high when he ordered it to drop.

War in the Pacific
It was the turning point of the war in the paific, and the allies stared island hopping to gain ground.
2. What strategy did the United States adopt in fighting Japan?
They started taking island by island one at a time to capture everything and win the war in the pacific.
3. Why did the Japanese fight so hard on Iwo Jima?
They tried so hard because they knew that if america got "Sulfer Island" than they would have a base in which they could launch bombers to main island japan.
4. Why did the Allies believe Okinawa was a foretaste of an invasion of Japan?
They believed that because they reliezed the japanies would do anything to deffend there home. Even if it means dieing.
5. What was the Manhattan Project?
It was the group of developers who developed the atomic bomb.
6. Ultimately, why did President Truman decide to drop atomic bombs on Japan?
Because he wanted to end the war, and he thought that by droping the atomic bombs on two Japanies targets that it would end the war, which it did.

War for Europe and North Africa - Part II
6. What was D-Day?
D-day was the first day of our envasion into germany, which was the largest assult in history, which comprised of parracute troopers and thousands of water troops.
7. What happened at the Battle of the Bulge?
At this battle, german tanks pushed 60 miles into our territory creating a bulge in our line of deffences. They captured 120 American GIs at this battle, which were slaughted by SS troopers.
8. What did Allied troops find in Germany?
Allied troops found death camps and thousands of starving inmates and piles of shoes, which show the horror of thease camps.
9. What happened to Hitler? What happened to F.D. Roosevelt? Who became U.S. President?
Hitler: Shot himself and his corpse was burnt along with his wife who also killed herself.
FDR: Had a heart attack and died a couple months into his 4th term.
Next prez became Harry S. Truman.
